There's a very broad range in what is generally known as a timber structure although log cabins, summer houses and sheds come in all shapes and sizes and are built from varying materials. The uses are endless and can be as small as a place to store garden furniture or be as grand as a holiday chalet or even a workshop, office or extension to the home!
When we build them for something more functional like an office or liveable 'room' we incorporate full insulation to raise comfort levels which will be needed to make the most out of your investment which are constructed to last decades.
Usually the walls are constructed of structured timber and the outside is cladded with a weatherproof timber style finish which is typical of timber framed houses and similar structures, although this can be 'beefed up' to produce a much stronger dwelling than normal. This is built to match its use, whatever your preferences are.
For a warmer or insulated building an inner wall would be introduced to the building which can be fully decorated with insulation fitted between the inner and outer wall. This will greatly change the usage from daytime fun place to 24 hour fully functional extension of the home, creating a whole host of possibilities.
All construction work necessary is taken care of including a new concrete base or foundations, depending on the type of building you choose.
Depending on the style you choose we can include electrics, plumbing and even wifi, all with full insulation, particularly useful if it's an extension of the home (as planning permission is relaxed), an office space, workspace for hobbies or even for your main line of work.
They also make excellent gyms that can be equipped with a vast array of equipment being floor based, wall hung or fixed overhead. Adapted also for saunas and infinity pool housing with fully secured windows and doors.

If it is any distance from your existing building we will build pathways and access whether it's a walkway or a drive and parking space alongside if needed.
Where lighting is required we have our own in-house electrician to complete electrics inside or outside setting up your own individual supply that is connected on a safe circuit that fully complies with local authority requirements for your complete safety.
The designs are endless incorporating a full opening side to enjoy as a summer house, with lockable storage alongside for garden furniture. An alternative cabin style can be set poolside for convenience with shower facilities.

Log cabins with brick or stone facing
One installation type we are exploring is a structure cladded with brick slips to give the appearance of a brick building in every sense.
Brick and stone facings are available to match your existing home, they're weatherproof, super insulated and have the benefit of being very cost effective.

In most cases any deliveries because of insurance are dropped kerbside and even when you receive approximate times for delivery there are components that are far too heavy for one person to carry.
Ensure that your builders are aware of your delivery and are available.
You will have to ensure that at least two people capable of lifting heavy items are available to take delivery and move near to the position that the building will be sited and erected.
This will ideally be away from any construction areas, particularly intended drainage areas but close enough to erect without too much 'double handling'.
