Pressure Washing services and jet washing for drives, patios and buildings in Newport, Cardiff and Chepstow.
Our pressure washing business also includes 'soft washing' which is the application of solutions that gently remove algae, lichen and blackspot.
These can be 'hardwashed' or what is referred to as pressure washing or jet washing which gives an immediate effect of being clean. The difference between both methods is, hardwashing usually includes chemicals that are denser than water and are washed away on rinsing, whereas softwashing has chemicals that are not as dense as water and NOT rinsed away.
These biocides find their way into small capillaries that kill the spores and stop them from returning for some considerable time.
Both methods have their values, however, for delicate surfaces such as stone that wouldn't benefit from harsh cleaning, are left to 'self clean' over a longer period and remain that way without having to access repeatedly.
Each have their merits and if you'd like advice on the best method for you, then please contact us for a free survey and quotation.
Below is a picture of 'pressure washing' producing an immediate solution.
This picture shows how 'softwashing' on more delicate surfaces will clean over a period of time without jet washing.
Soft Wash is a safe and effective way to clean exterior surfaces such as K Rend which is not a hard surface, also block paving where you don't want to disturb the sand joints and then having to refill them, the same goes for decorative stonework which has to be treated carefully. In fact most exterior surfaces would benefit from this method and in particular cleaning roofs full of moss and algae that has to be removed, where copious amount of water should be avoided.
it's an ideal way of cleaning, albeit over a more extended time than immediate pressure washing.
Pressure washing using hot water is another method we prefer which produces amazing results, where it cleans and takes away all the germs and bacteria that cold water jet washing doesn't.
Warm jet washing is useful on decking, fencing and all other hard surfaces where also reducing the amount of water is of benefit. One surface in particular is composite decking and although being resilient to decay, still has dirt and algae settling on it.
Using warm water and in certain cases reaching over 100 degrees (and up to steam in some cases), releases more dirt and leaves the composite material cleaner for longer, even more so when long term safe biocides are applied to give extended protection.
Play areas are a prime candidate for the use of hot pressure washing where not only is it important to clean the surfaces, but also to effectively remove the harmful bacteria that forms over a period of time.
There are numerous areas around the home where pressure washing is of great benefit such as:
And numerous Commercial pressure wash situations such as:
The pressure washing costs are really good and the list is endless for what we're able to clean.
Cleaning isn't the end of the process as we can also provide long life sealants from PICS UK, Resiblock, Benz, Azpects, EverBuild and many other providers that we use on a daily basis.
